The easiest way is to just use the system to vote for your favorite sites. You would be amazed at how many people don't participate by giving amens. The next best thing is to find good sites and submit them. If you are a web publisher or have your own site or blog, you put a link to this service on your web site. You could even do that by putting an amen icon on your blog. You can also donate money if you want to.

It is understandable that so many people are concerned about buying things online. The fact is, that you do have to be very careful where you provide your financial information. You should never give your payment information to anyone online without recognizing and trusting that organization. Amen Me! decided to not handle purchase transactions ourselves. Instead we use a service called PayPal. PayPal is the same service that accurately and safely performs transations for thousands of legitimate online stores including the popular eBay.

PayPal is a "middleman" that is used by thousands of Web purchasers. PayPal is actually helpful in keeping information secret because they don't share purchase information with merchants. In fact, Amen Me! will never see your payment information which includes your account numbers or credit card numbers. PayPay works with you and Amen Me! separately and they are the only ones who know our account information. They make sure that money passes safely and accurately between the their accounts. PayPal works this way with other merchants as well so you can use your PayPal account for non Amen Me! purchases too.

Because PayPal keeps this information from merchants, it is safer than giving your credit card to a checker at the mall.

PayPal will even store your purchase information so that you don't have to type it in over and over again. Then all you need to remember is your PayPal password and you don't have to fill out all that information when you buy things on line. This is only an option, however. You can still use PayPal to pay without being a member of PayPal.


Payment securtity works so that when you type in your card number, your computer scrambles it before it is sent over the Internet. It's still a good idea to do this from home and not from a public computer because you know that your computer works properly.
