What Is Daily Bible Radio?
Daily Bible Radio delivers a devotional Bible commentary directly to your Windows 8 computer or Kindle every day. This means
that you get a quotation from the Bible followed by a discussion about that quotation. The commentary is provided by Troy Taft.
How does DBR help?
As Christians, we depend on the encouragement and direction we get from God's word to guide our lives. We can use our technology
to help us get this every day. If you receive Daily Bible Radio,
you end up going through more than two whole books of the Bible in a year. Since it is available on your personal computer or Kindle,
it goes where you go and is available in the most unlikely places, places in life where you really need encouragement. It also helps
you learn more about being a Christian. If you do just a small amount of study every day you can get a lot of study done!
To get an idea of what can be done, the Bible Study Blog has been running for about four years now on the Amazon Kindle
and readers have already studied through ten books of the Bible.
How do you use it?
The DBR app
puts a new tile on your start page in Windows 8. When you click on the app's tile, you see lesson for the day.
You can choose to press the "play" button and listen to me read the Bible and comment on it,
or you can choose to just read the written transcript right there on the screen.
The DBR for Windows app now allows you to go back to any lessons in the book being studied. It also contains audio
read aloud by Troy Taft.
The Kindle Bible Study Blog
can be purchased through the Kindle store as a monthly subscription. New lessons are automatically delivered
daily. They just show up in your library. You can read the commentary or have Kindle read it to you.
You get the last ten days of lessons in case you miss one. The Kindle commentary is the newest. It goes through a different book of the
Bible than DBR.
What kinds of things do you teach?
Troy Taft's commentary on Daily Bible Radio is intended to express the truth of the Bible as it is written,
rather than attempting to fit it to outside ideas.
